Lord Murugar is said to the God of all Tamilians. Why He is referred to as Tamil God?
Here are some of the reasons for that fact :
There are 6 Faces for Lord Murugar. Thats the reason He is called with the name - “Aaru Mugan”. In Tamil language, there are 6 Mellinam, 6 Idaiyinam. He has 12 Shoulders and in Tamil, there are 12 Uyir letters.
He holds the Vel, a weapon which is not found in any of the Hindu Gods. Likewise, the Aayudha Ezhuthu, is not found in any of the Language. Likewise there are so many facts which relates Lord Murugar with Tamil Language. So, it is very apt that He is referred to as “Tamil God”.
